at the BITEC Convention and Exhibition Center, Bangkok”

September 20-22,2022 Bangkok will play host to Asia’s leading power & energy technology trade show and conference, Sustainable Energy Technology Asia (SETA) 2022, Solar+Storage Asia (SSA) 2022, and Enlit Asia

The event is expected to attract more than 15,000 delegates from electricity and energy businesses across Southeast Asia, the Asia Pacific, and other regions around the world with leading energy companies as well as more than 350 related industries and businesses from more than 70 countries around the world, showcasing the latest technological advances and energy solutions. The event is supported by the Ministry of Energy, Prime Minister’s Secretariat Ministry of Higher Education Science, Research and Innovation Ministry of Transport Ministry of Digital Economy and Society Ministry of Health Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand Provincial Electricity Authority Metropolitan Electricity Authority including PTT Group and PTTEP.

Ms. Wuttaya Hnunbhakdi, Managing Director of GAT International Co., Ltd., revealed during the press conference that was held on 24th August 2022 that Thailand is currently at the forefront of the energy transition in the region and has proactive policies including energy governance that promote and generate massive investment attraction. In addition, Thailand has also announced its Carbon Neutrality Target by 2065-70, a commitment that must be taken to achieve a clean energy future. However, despite the efforts to promote alternative energy, according to Climate Watch Data’s survey in 2022, the sector that emits the most greenhouse gasses in Thailand is the energy sector, hence, the theme of the event this year is renewable energy growth. There will be discussions on the stage of SETA 2022, Enlit Asia 2022, and Solar+Storage Asia 2022 throughout the three-day event period, which will be in line with the new PDP plan around six key themes that will include:

  • Carbon-free power generation (Decarbonized Power Generation);
  • Strengthening and creating a future power grid (Fortifying and Creating a Next-Gen Power Grid);
  • The development of electrical systems in the ASEAN Economic Community (The Electrification of The ASEAN Economy);
  • Electricity price volatility due to unexpected situations (Electricity Prices Surging due to unexpected circumstances);
  • Enabling Renewable Energy to meet RE Targets; and
  • The Roadmap to Net-Zero Strategic Plan

Mr. Richard Ireland, Managing Director of Clarion Events Pte Ltd. and Event Director of Enlit Asia, revealed that Enlit Asia participates in this event with the hope to push for cooperation and exchange of ideas on how to use new technologies and clean energy instead of the continuous use of conventional energy. Enlit Asia will exhibit innovations from energy suppliers under the theme “Accelerating ASEAN’s Energy Transition to Achieve Carbon Neutrality”, in line with the declaration of intent at the COP26 conference, focusing on the transition to clean energy.

These three conferences and exhibitions are important energy forums where energy leaders in the region can exchange and learn true innovative energy solutions. It is also an open forum for discussion on issues of importance throughout the electricity and energy business’s strategic and commercial value chain strategy. Various information and reports will also be presented, including solutions to problems and obstacles faced by the electricity and energy industry. Attendees will also have the opportunity to expand their networks and access energy insights from speakers from industry organizations.

Over 200 leading energy leaders are to address increasingly complex energy issues in today’s evolving global energy industry. Participating speakers will discuss these challenging issues, and over 350 leading technology and solution providers will showcase the latest technological advances while free-to-attend content on the exhibition floor will provide technical insights into the challenges faced across the sector. Participating speakers will include speakers from PTT, Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA), Electricity Authority of Malaysia (TNB), Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), Electricity Authority of Indonesia (PLN) and representatives from private sectors around the world.

Technologies on show will include digital technologies supporting greater control and reliability across power generation and T&D such as: technology that is supporting power plant O&M, an increasing range of clean energy solutions, solar, battery storage solutions, hydrogen turbines, carbon capture, utilisation and storage, and smart grid and grid modernisation technologies enabling.

The trade show and conferences, where attendees will see international conferences, conferences in Thai, trade shows and international exhibitions, business pairing, and start-ups, will be held on 20-22 September 2022, at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre: BITEC, Hall 100-104.
